Buying real estate in Big Sur
Why ?
I believe it is for two reasons. One is that the more time one spends in Big Sur, the more spectacular one realizes it is, and the other is that, for the most part, the value of real estate in Big Sur continually increases because it is such a rare, natural jewel of a place.
If you are considering purchasing real estate in Big Sur, there are many things to consider, and there are many important questions that must be answered in order for you to make an informed decision. Questions like viewshed, water sources, utilities, neighbor proximity and relations, fire road access and emergency response time estimates, permitting and zoning, and the list goes on and on.
My direct approach is to ask the tough questions beforehand so that there are no surprises later. I don't know everything though, and if someone tells you they do you should run fast. If necessary, I will get answers from the specialists, or refer you to them to get the answers you need.
I find all of this to be fun, and I truly consider it an honor to represent my clients, but most importantly, my bottom line is honesty and transparency, because sleeping well in Big Sur is undoubtably the greatest gift of all.
